What    to    Expect

If this is your family first time working with a professional photographer, you maybe wondering what to expect. What should I bring? Will there be enough time to get the perfect picture? Will my child be comfortable being in front of the camera? We completely understand these feelings of concerns; you are not alone! We are here to guide you and to make your session as stress-free as possible. Remember, it is supposed to be fun! Our method of working is simple: we tailor our photography to you and your family. Each session is unique experience, built from the ground up just for YOU. In our initial consultation we will discuss things like family schedule, favorite location, color preferences, house designs and of course attention spans to make your photography session day a smashing success. This is the day to relax and enjoy your family; we will do the rest!

Scheduling
Planning in advance is the key to success. It is the best to schedule the session time that is good with you. If your child has a certain naptime will plan the session to be either before or after she/he wakes up in order to have a happy child. We are here to make your session a success, and will work with you individually to find a time and place that fits your family.
Safety First When working with babies and children, safety is our first priority. When we photograph babies and newborn, we ask that mom or dad to stay at arm’s length to make sure baby is kept safe and sound under all circumstances. When planning an outdoor, on location session with kids, we make sure the site is safe and suitable for children.

Weather
If you have chosen an outdoor location for your photos, we will mostly likely be at the mercy of the Mother Nature. If there is an extreme cold, hot, rainstorm, snowstorm we would rather reschedule than push everyone into an uncomfortable place!

Keeping it positive
It can be difficult to get kids to cooperate in the best of circumstances and many times they may feel uncomfortable with unfamiliar places. We work hard to get those perfect poses, but never with a negative reinforcement or discipline. We use only positive, confidence-boosting methods to get your child trust and cooperation during the photo session and ask parents to do the same.

A comfortable pace
Children are unpredictable – a characteristics that makes them so lovable- but also difficult to plan around. It is something we completely understand! For this reason we spend enough time with you, to make sure your session isn’t rushed. If baby needs to be changed or fed, take your time. If a toddler is getting tired or frustrated, we can take a snack break to relax and regroup. If you or your family is feeling uncomfortable or exhausted, we can pose for a drink of water or rest in the shade. This is your photography session and we will work with the pace of you and your family! There is no need to rush, as we book only one session a day- just relax and enjoy the experience with us.
